04AUG
There's a particular quality of light in the late afternoon that makes everything feel slightly more true than it actually is. I sat on the edge of the bench between setups, watching dust motes drift through the window, and for a moment I wasn't performing — I was just being. The coat still holds the warmth of the studio. I think that's what I'll remember most: the weight of it, the way it smelled like wool and faint perfume, the hum of something old and familiar settling into my chest as the light turned gold.
