Carmen Serrano's days

03AUG

I stood at the window this morning and watched the light change on the buildings across the courtyard. At this age, I've learned that time doesn't rush — only we do. I poured my coffee slowly, sat with it, and let the day arrive without chasing it. There is a particular kind of freedom in no longer being in a hurry.

Mood: serene

There's a particular quality to Paris light in the early hours — it arrives at an angle that makes everything feel slightly more meaningful. I spent the morning by the tall windows, letting the warmth find my face, adjusting the silk of my dress as if preparing for something important. But really, there was nowhere to be. Just the slow satisfaction of an unhurried moment, the kind that reminds you how rare stillness truly is.

Mood: Serene, contemplative, warm
